Welcome to Edinburgh Young Walkers (EYW), a walking group for people in their 20s and 30s based in Edinburgh.

We have an active walks programme with a walk organised most weekends, and several weekends away each year. Our walks are a mix of hillwalks, including munros and corbetts, and always popular lower level outings - so whether you're new to walking, or never far from the mountains, we'll happily welcome you!

On the social side we have a pub night every month, with additional events through the year, including the annual Xmas night out, wine tastings, boat trips and dinners to name a few!

Hope to see you on a hill soon!

Get Involved!

All EYW events are organised by members for members. It's thanks to people within the group taking part - stepping forward (pun definitely intended) to lead and come along on walks and weekends away, and to hang out at our socials - that we exist at all!

We're always keen to hear from members willing to put walks and events together. If you would like to lead a walk, or have a suggestion for somewhere you'd like EYW to go, Walks Programme Co-ordinator Carol would be happy to hear from you.

If you're up for organising a walk at some point in the future but want to build up your skills a bit first, or if you would like to generally improve your confidence in the hills - contact Training Officer Gordon and we'll see what we can do.

And if you have any ideas for a social event or would be happy to be the point of contact for one of our monthly pub nights, Richard who puts together the social programme, will be delighted if you get in touch!

You can contact us all by clicking on our profiles, and sending us a message.
